Frequently Asked Questions

Clients often book their sessions 3-4 months in advance. My busy season is April through November and session dates throughout those months fill up quickly, especially Saturdays or holiday weeks. Vacationing this month and want to get on my calendar? I’d love for you to inquire anyway as I do sometimes have last minute availability!

When you book a photo session with me you will receive my styling guide that has color palette ideas, outfit inspiration, and links for where to shop. Styling is such a fun part of planning for photos and I am always happy to help put together a custom styling board for your family or give input on outfits you are putting together.

You can expect your full edited gallery delivered through email within 3 weeks of your session (for families, couples, maternity) or 6 weeks (elopements). When I’m able, I love to deliver galleries sooner than the promised turnaround time.

Oftentimes the joyful, everyone grinning family photos you see on my Instagram page aren’t a result of asking everyone to smile, but instead from directing families to do what they do best: have fun together! My style leans heavily toward directing over posing. I will ask you to smile a few times, but I will spend more time giving you gentle direction: games to play, prompting you to explore the beach, or just letting your family spend time together snuggling in the sand. While I come to your session with a loose plan of what our time together will look like, I am always adaptable and will follow the lead of what your kids are interested in and having fun with.

Some of my favorite sessions have taken place in windy or overcast conditions. The beach is almost always breezy and wind is something we will embrace during your beach session. I always keep an eye on the weather forecast and if it looks like severe weather will affect your session (heavy rain, lightning storms, extreme wind) I will reach out so we can pivot if needed. I will always work with you to reschedule or move your session earlier or later when possible!

To reserve your session I require a signed contract and 25% retainer. The remaining balance will be due the day before your session. After you inquire we will discuss session details, and once you decide it’s a good fit I will send you a custom booking link to officially book your session.
