As a photographer, it’s always so fun to shoot at new (to me) locations. Something about being in a new place just inspires my creativity. I was SO excited when these two reached out to me about scheduling an engagement session at the South Texas Botanical Gardens. I knew it would be the perfect location for their spring engagement session.

We met up at the entrance and just took our time strolling through the property. To be honest, we probably could’ve walked around for another hour. I don’t think we even walked around half of the property! Locations like this are my favorite because we can walk around and talk and really get to know each other. I always want your session to feel more like hanging out with a friend and having fun than a big production. Being comfortable in front of the camera and your photographer is so important for natural and authentic photos. We had so much fun just talking and laughing, and I think their photos absolutely reflect that!

Because it was spring, everything was in full bloom and super green and it was the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. If you’re newly engaged and looking for a unique spot to take photos in Corpus Christi, I highly recommend the South Texas Botanical Gardens! I definitely need to find a reason to have another shoot there.
